Overview of Pre-Lien Amendments
A "Pre-Lien Amendment" is a document that corrects, modifies, or adds information to the original Pre-Lien Notice.
In order to retain rights to a construction lien, stop notice, and bond claim, most courts may require the claimant to serve all interested parties with an amended Pre-Lien if there is a significant change in the estimated price. If there are any significant changes from the original Pre-Lien, a claimant should consider serving an amendment to preserve their rights.
